Project Description

Overview

Who it’s for

This program is for women and gender-diverse individuals who are currently in, or have previously been in, an abusive or controlling relationship and who continue to be affected by their experiences.

How we help

We recognise the deep, lasting impacts of Domestic, Family, & Sexual Violence (DFSV) on the wellbeing, safety, choices and voices of victim-survivors. We offer a safe, supportive space where participants can connect, learn and grow together.

What to expect

Together, we will honour each other’s journeys, explore strengths, build confidence, grow skills, and uplift one another in empowerment and healing. Each step is taken with care and respect, facilitated by experienced, qualified and caring facilitators.

Program structure

KEW is a group program that supports participants to safely talk through issues, develop personal insight, practice skills, explore positive choices and set goals for the future. Facilitators will support discussions, share information and tools, and provide a safe space for everyone.

Delivery of program

KEW is delivered in-person one night per week for 6 weeks. To ensure positive experience, there will be a maximum of 15 participants. It is a closed group, meaning we do not take new members after the program commences. Given the nature of the program, we are unable to offer this program online.

Cost of program

FREE.
KEW is offered with assistance from the ACT Government under the Commonwealth National Partnership Agreement on Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence Responses 2021-27 Program.
