Project Description

About Program

Our program offers trauma-informed, specialised alcohol and other drug (AOD) counseling services for individuals who are connected to Justice Services in the ACT, such as Community Corrections and those exiting the Alexander Maconochie Centre.

What program offers:

We provide up to twelve counseling sessions to help clients develop strategies to address AOD, promote harm minimisation and other issues related to transitioning back into the community. A treatment and relapse prevention plan will be developed with the client.

Counselling is provided by a qualified Counsellor who is highly skilled and experienced in working with people connected to the justice system and those who have experienced trauma.

Clients can be referred to us by their case manager in Community Corrections or Alexander Maconochie Centre, or through another source, or they can self-refer provided they are engaged with ACT Corrective Services or have concluded their engagement within the last three months.

Counselling can be provided from our Head Office in Deakin, or at Community Corrections Office in Civic.
