Our Philosophy and Values
Karralika Programs Inc. is underpinned by therapeutic community principles and our programs are based on the belief that a person’s dependence on alcohol or other drugs is a symptom of underlying personal difficulties. Our staff seek to provide an environment and deliver programs that not only assist individuals to develop life skills but also a pro-social attitude.
Our staff value social justice, equity and access. Our programs are accessible to individuals from different cultures, languages and backgrounds. Our staff respect diversity, lived- and life-experiences, and are qualified and caring.
Our new name and logo
Many of you will know our organisation and the services and programs we deliver as ADFACT – the Alcohol and Drug Foundation of the ACT.
Changing our name from ADFACT to Karralika Programs Inc. reflects how the organisation has evolved over the last 30 years while at the same time maintaining our historical connection and our continued commitment to providing the same high quality programs and services that ADFACT is so well known for. Karralika Programs Inc continues to offer support to people in the ACT and surrounding region with alcohol and other drug dependencies through residential and community-based programs.
Karralika Programs Inc. and the new logo describes the innovation, drive and dedication of our staff and the personal and connected approach we take in supporting each and every person to choose a better life.
About the logo: the logo depicts two faces, drawn with a single unbroken line demonstrating our holistic and collaborative approach to supporting people with alcohol and other drug dependencies. The image also suggests the continuous forward-motion of the journey with the Karralika Programs Inc. team.
