Business Support Officer

LOCATION: Canberra

We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated and driven individual to join our supportive, passionate and values driven team at Karralika Programs Inc, to help support the delivery of business operations and the achievement of our organisational goals and objectives.

About the Position

The successful candidate will undertake a range of administration and business support duties vital to the efficient and effective running of the organisation. The role is the first point of contact for consumers, clients and stakeholders and is responsible for providing administrative, program and business support, and general clerical duties. As an integral part of the team and organisation, you will need to use your incredible organisational and time management skills to respond effectively to competing and often urgent requests in a professional and efficient manner while maintaining high work standards, confidentiality, and accuracy.

No two days will be the same!

About You 

  • You will have substantial administrative experience in a similar role (minimum of 3 years’ experience)
  • Have the ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with clients, as well as internal and external stakeholders
  • Exercise good conceptual and analytical skills
  • Demonstrate a high level of discretion when dealing with sensitive issues
  • Demonstrated ability to use a range of application software packages, including Microsoft Office suite
  • A high level of initiative and self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Well-developed time management and multi-tasking abilities
  • Demonstrates the values and behaviours that contribute to a constructive, high-performance culture, and acts with integrity in your dealings with others
  • Have outstanding organisational and record keeping skills, and the demonstrated ability to achieve results with limited supervision
  • A high level of initiative and self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Have a high level of interpersonal and communication skills
  • You will ideally have experience working within a community sector organisation, however this is not essential.
