Outreach Program

The Outreach Program provides assistance and support to clients as they re settle into the community after exiting one of Karralika Programs Inc. residential treatment programs.

About the Program

The Outreach Program has been developed in order to provide assistance to clients exiting the Karralika Therapeutic Community Adult Program, the Child and Family Program, the Nexus Program (including Men’s Halfway House and aftercare program), and the Solaris Therapeutic Community at the Alexander Maconochie Centre.

Providing outreach services to clients in this transitional stage will support them to more effectively deal with relapse situations and to follow through with identified goals.  The program will also assist clients to take advantage of a range of opportunities in the community.  These include, but are not limited to, social networking, ongoing treatment assistance and employment opportunities.

The team provides case management sessions, referral to relevant agencies and organisations, support over the phone as well as personal visits as appropriate. The team also supports Relapse Prevention related to cravings, slips and relapsing, managing high risk situations and the like.
